    BUSINESS GRANTS

The government has made grants available to small businesses and those businesses who have small business rate relief to help them through the Coronavirus pandemic.

So far, North Devon Council has paid out £20 million to around 1800 businesses but there are 3,700 businesses that are eligible so that means only half have applied so far.

To check your eligibility or apply for the grant, visit the council’s business support pages: https://www.northdevon.gov.uk/coronavirus/business-support/grants-for-businesses

The Parish of Mortehoe is made up of the two villages of Mortehoe, at the top of the hill, and
Woolacombe, down in the valley; plus other neighbouring areas extending to parts of Lee, Willingcott
    and Spreacombe.

Both villages lie in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty bounded by the mighty Atlantic Ocean, the
Bristol Channel, the North Devon Biosphere and Exmoor National Park.

Additionally, the National Trust owns large tracts of land throughout the parish, including the amazingly impressive and beautiful Morte Point, which forms an important part of the South West Coast Path, before the trail descends to the world-famous beach at Woolacombe Sands, with its dunes, golden sands and magnificent surf.
